Lewis won his first five fights and then stepped onto the big stage where he competed for the Southern Area Cruisweweight title on a Matchroom Boxing show at the Copperbox against John Hedges.
After 5 rounds Lewis was one round down on one card and two on another but it was clear he was taking over as was the game plan. He then was at the end of an accidental head but and it went to the judges cards. An unfortunate and underserved loss as most experts had no doubt Lewis was taking over and going on to win the fight. No doubt a rematch will not be offered.
On 5th October 2024, Lewis had his second Championship contest in a row and this time no freak accidents could deny him as he won the Commonwealth Silver title with a comprehensive display against Deevorn Miller (8-1) even winning every round on one judges card.
Lewis is trained by Andy Gill in Amersam and is gunning for more titles.
